Nail Nippers:
Use your dominant hand to hold the nipper. Push the lock out of the way, and squeeze the nipper several times. This simply checks the function of the nipper and also allows you to get a feel for the nipper.
Position the curve of the cutting edge face down and align it with the edge of the nail. It is important to check the curve of the blade in relation to the nail you plan to cut.
With your other hand stabilize the toe, use one finger to stabilize the nail. The index finger is placed over the blade of the nipper to deflect any flying debris as you cut the nail.
